Moritz Adam Schmitt is a Cologne-born illustrator and visual artist whose creative practice began in illustration before evolving into painting in 2023. Originally a form of self-therapy and an escape from the digital world, painting quickly became his primary medium, with acrylic on canvas at the center of his work. His vibrant, playful compositions use a consistent color palette and childlike visual language to explore personal experiences, fears, and doubts alongside broader issues such as climate, the environment, and social injustice. Guided by his credo “Live, Love, Have Fun!”, Schmitt uses color and optimism not to hide difficult subjects, but to make them visible, accessible, and engaging.
